First, we start well this week: I RECOMMEND SUPER visiting the blog of Eny Roland and see his latest collection of photos from the series Urban Gallery. are very good. Can see them by clicking here . Also very good is the blog Shut It designer André André Gribble and Design Blog Chiltepe The Bara and Yon.
As notified of gossip Historical Center, I wanted to tell that in a survey through Facebook that was done in the Historic Centre Division where people asked which is the most iconic center, and all the votes came in the first two places: the coffee bar, 100 Doors and Trade Portal. Many other respondents said that for them, the most iconic was his own house in zone 1. So that you see!
Do you have other suggestions for the most iconic of the Historic Center? stories, stories.
Another gossip notified. I tell them to stunning photographic exhibition of Jean-Marie Simon in the National Palace of Culture someone removed all the labels that gave name and context of each picture, so that the visitors can appreciate its beauty but do not know who the people or historical moments these photographs, sometimes harder than you think you can bear, show us.
First, someone removed his glasses to the statue of Tasso Hadjidodou in The Sixth and then someone takes the tags of a photo exhibition. Is it the work of a Dybbuk? (If you do not know what Dybbuk, for that is Google. I leave it to task.)
After many setbacks and difficulties, was finally displaying the documentary Island of Uli Stelzner of Guatemalan Film Festival of Cultural Center of Spain, thanks to the generosity of staff events National Palace of Culture , who offered the courtyard of the Palace for the presentation of the documentary. This was followed by a discussion with Alberto Fuentes , team coordination Archives National Police. Many people worked hard to present this document of great historical importance.
The turnout was very nurtured - they had people sitting up in the stands! - And there were quite cathartic reactions among the public. Moreover, more than twice came of people expected. From here, the documentary will take you on a tour inside the republic. If you missed it and want to see, they can get in Cervantes House, show yourself and Sophos. They are SUPER recommend.
Stay tuned there will be more presentations Guatemalan Film Festival from the Cultural Center of Spain , all followed fascinating conversations free of cost .
Something else that I recommend much is to visit the gallery Kilometer Zero the National Palace of Culture . It is an extremely quiet, relaxing, full of beautiful pieces of art from Guatemala. My favorite is a musical sculpture to be seen at the beginning of this post, a very clever creation of bicycle rims that move incessantly creating a soft and heavenly music.
events this week are real good. Do not miss the Festival Know Your Neighborhood from Saturday and discussion with Javier Payet on Sunday, Candelaria parties and much, much more. also call the National Theatre for all artists and groups wishing to submit proposals for all types of art for 2011.
