First of all a message from the association of citizens who are in charge of the legacy of Master Efraín Recinos, a really fantastic group of people:
Dear friends, for Sunday May 15 unveiled the statue [of Efraín Recinos ] on a great Festival of Guatemala ... but we need support to complete some requirements, please help us by writing to email aldobonilla@efrainrecinos.org Many thanks to all.
Another group of neighbors, New Raccoon City, I transmitted this message to all:
Safety starts with ourselves. Save on your cell phone number against extortion Line 5555 0691/93. Fostering a culture of complaint. : 0)
The National Music Conservatory sends the following message:
SE LES INFORMA A TOD @ S THE DAY WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 AT 9:00 AM WILL BE TAKING A DEMONSTRATION PACIFICA ALL ARTISTIC INSTITUTIONS OF THE STATE OF GUATEMALA FOR THE LACK OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT THOSE WHO MAY ACCOMPANY YOUR PRESENCE WOULD BE IMPORTANT NOTE
: EUROCINE SCHEDULE AT THE END OF TODAY'S POST
This weekend I had dinner with hummus NOA (12 Street between 5th and 6th) with a good friend - the atmosphere was cheerful and the food good, although the music horn too loud for conversation either over dinner - and then went to the new little bar Pink Cadillac (9a Calle 5-32 Z-1) which is opposite the Hotel Panamerican (at the hotel serves excellent feet with the same recipe since 1950 I think).
Pink Cadillac is pretty very style of the 1950 (too). It was also nice to walk The Sixth and see that there was a large group of people around the musicians who played guitar on the sidewalk. Other nights, he sees young people as young skateboarders to practice and families with children sit at them.
Saturday night, besides the excellent concert of music by Miss Lillith in Pink Cadillac, part of the entertainment was that the next block, across The Sixth , there was a great deschongue between several bar-frecuentantes not know if the Pasaje Aycinena or Jake's or where, but when they had finished the soap opera of police cars, traffic stranded, etc. We walked to see that roll (morbid we finally after all) and after looking at the "crime scene" on the sidewalk (pieces of broken chairs, broken bottles Chay, drops of blood, a broken tooth ...)
... decided that, although the camera still hear music and dancing everywhere, it was midnight and the night having come to end (I worked all day), it was time to go to bed, as I said the wise Topo Gigio.
Finally, another night of purrún like any other on either side of the city, especially if they try to make some areas here something similar to what became of last and 4 Grados Norte or what it is today day Zona Viva. We live in a violent city, you, nor hesitation. There is grace. I take comfort, however, to see so many trained and organized neighborhood groups to influence and to have events in their neighborhoods. It will be interesting to see who bring the coming months.
Turning to issues plus much more positive and talking about organizations that have a positive impact in an urban area .... Stay
, like me, with my mouth open and speechless at the talent of these young Guatemalan transcends on stage:
Bravo, transcends Crew! Put up the name of Guatemala. THEY WANT!!
also very attractive are the following calls ... MEETINGS
