Memory, Truth, Justice . Historical Center. Euler
Coy Lilo Stock.

Because at the tender age of 25, I'll be a grandmother. Okay, okay , I was taking few years, so the truth. At the tender age of 28 years , I'll be a grandmother for the first time and a hembrita , as they say in the villages. So I respect my gray hair (and other sexy), my beloved and dear little ones. I am already one of the wise women (not that there is no-never been, but hey, modesty never enough). Let

Historic Center!

last Saturday night the Legal Collective Lana presented the recent documentary The Nuremberg Trial you know where? on the slopes of Cerrito del Carmen! And at night, for more.

Huelga de Dolores 2009

Well there we were all sitting in the cool grass watching the big screen, enjoying an excellent outdoor production of the night, with a delicious breeze. The park's small shop was open so everyone could buy ice cold sodas and tortrix, in a safe environment. You can see pictures of this event by clicking here (the curly me! ).

They had families, children, young adolescents, the elderly. This was followed by a forum in July Solórzano Foppa, which the audience was very active. The event was totally free and always busy in July came out of it saying "I leave at 4am to Mexico!" and left. Blessed are those who can grab your car and go just like that, en route to Mexico or anywhere else and not have to stay for several days grading exams ...

Whatever. A very nice night. So hopefully there will be many more this summer.

cheerful also spent for the concert Miss Lilith, sponsored by the Cultural Center of Spain Bad Attitude in . Miss Lillith is a rock band made up of women who play original music as a mix between Tool and Evanescence. Also, do not take away any that are super attractive Patojos.

There was half a world, musician Alejandro Arriaza , Taz (the Rockolvuh), those of Pie Wool, the English who are involved in the contemporary cultural field in Guatemala, photographers and many more than today and I do not remember. And of course, good old Farnes. I came alone because he had no aller @ that night but from the moment I entered Bad Attitude to me felt at home, sitting quietly with friends, taking cold hearty in my unsuccessful struggle against calorsh.

addition, a lot, I have to mention that the Film Festival Memory, Truth, Justice is INCREDIBLE good. I have not been to a single function in which the film was powerful and really full room. Performances are free of charge and I attached the calendar below.

All Guatemalans ought to take advantage of these opportunities before us and if we did not take, nor is it complaining that here never bring anything of quality. And as he said the organizer, Uli Stelzner , "Guatemala has no future if there is no dialogue and the film serves to do." In other words, there is the matter of listening and dialogue about our history. See that many foreigners are coming! And let's not go clogs? (Incidentally, foreigners happy with the 100 doors )

Huelga de Dolores 2009

Speaking of dialogue, the forums will still have a lot of interesting people of Guatemala and other countries . Very impressive was listen to Mrs. Mary Maquín Survivor of the slaughter of Panzós and activist, speaking Kekchi the interpretation of his translator after one of the movies. I learned a lot from Guatemala and it is real suffering that leaves long tracks, only at that time. Leaves much to think about. Many people in the audience wept. These are things that nobody should suffer, but violence is still perpetrated.

Changing
.

As always walking these streets I'm half a world and today I met Erick Menchú and Mario Santizo the Taller Experimental de Grafica . The Historic Centre is like that public plaza of the old days where spent finding worldwide. In other words, there is still a sense of community. I have also found treats (very happy about as parades), concerts, processions and large amount of unanticipated events.

processions Speaking ...

... the residents of Barrio San José historical are looking for partners who want to get to help set up the carpet in several blocks Holy Thursday so if you want to learn to make rugs and spend a joyful and neighborhood, you know. Contact the Cultural Collective Wool Pie: ccpiedelana@gmail.com. And if they like what the processions and rugs, visit the blog I Cucurucho . I highly recommend!

not imagine who is cone! Luis Méndez Salinas who, Carmen Alvarado , manage Editorial catafixia . I asked why, as a religious not know anything, and he said he does not know why, because religion has nothing. To me that is music.

Afropoeta by his new look stylistically as far as hair is concerned, then. He wants to Julito!

yes. What we were? Ah yes! Events, events.

very nice Another event was the exposure of children painters Frida Kahlo Art School in Red House. Seriously, how awesome that talent that we have managed to flourish in these children in art school, located next to the full César Library Brañas (a library super quiet and nice). Soon go to meet in person to visit this school and tell them more.

Huelga de Dolores 2009

This is week of exams for my students and I have many jobs to qualify so they do not entertain much, but go directly to the event knowing that more of something they motivate them to move from their composed, away from the TV and go to the streets of the historic center distracted. I've spent all day working as a maniac. It is therefore right and necessary that I go to Central Bar enjoying your nachito fantastic music and excellent Basic 3, which is every Wednesday night for cumbia ( free entry) in the Central Bar.

Note: not miss the photo call at the end of the calendar!
