Well, I'm back. Heme here.
The returns always remind me of a book published in the early nineteenth century, which had belonged to my grandfather. I do not remember the title, but was about a sailor returning to his village in the rural areas of France, after years of absence during which he gave him drowned at sea.
After walking along the dusty road to his old house, comes to find his wife, believing herself widowed, married with another, and live with him in the house that belongs to him before. Well, come face to face, the wife it simply says "lo and behold, Martin." And the answers, just as simply, "Here I am."
no longer use language like that. Today would have been "Here I am" ... but for some reason, I think the phrase richer, more full of feeling, as discussed at the time. No wonder they stuck with me since I was about 12 years and I preferred to spend the long and tedious afternoons reading the old books that I never knew that watching TV or movies. I still remember the silver color of the moths that emerged from the pages.
Anyway, the stories of that time he read in the library's great-grandfather, had talks more parsimonious but contained more emotion seemed that much of the verbiage abounds easy for us today. Or at least that made him look like the writers of that time, more symbolic style of the time.
And since I am a professor of literature, but other more mundane things, the following step.
The course of cultural management workshops offered by Urban Development and Cultural Center of Spain in the Historic Center have started with tremendous energy, more that anything provided by Students who are exceptionally interesting part of it. The last workshop was hosted by Julio Solorzano Foppa and told me according to several students, was excellent. So it was not only my impression.
Anyway, who is a good student, good student anywhere, and likewise knows making the most of teachers and take advantage of the wisdom of others to enrich their own. Therefore, it is a pleasure to work with people interested in the subject and you want to use their knowledge to contribute to their communities.
Also, as always, filled the Cerrito del Carmen of those who wanted to attend the show yourself Festival. Started, successfully, with the film showing in Guatemala. There
who commented, however, that the municipal authorities and / or the festival asked a seller of T-shirts, always sold at the festival, to leave that alone could be sold through the store that organizers established the festival. I did not see that, but I saw the pictures and noticed that generated negative comments about the choice between the festival's mission and action. Sad to give these conflicts.
However, I think we should listen other side of the issue before forming a final opinion. Perhaps there is a valid explanation for the event.
Anyway, show yourself is one of the organizations that do more to promote non-established artists and bring art, joy and magic - in its human sense - to the population. I look lovely, in addition, to promote Guatemalan artists in the historic and iconic Cerrito del Carmen. So we have to support them! Hope you show yourself Festival for many years.
And now, let's Calls and events!

Speaking of gourds .
Before turning to the events, I wanted to share the photo I took in the rustic north woods of Florida, now that I walked out there. Something very simple that can greatly improve the environment around us.
I found nice, since they use the gourds for them in forest trees and paths for birds in autumn or winter behind, they can nest and find shelter. They also leave food containers everywhere. It is a culture of caring for wild animals that I liked, and I watched a deer out on the road and there are wild turkeys crossing the streets of most campers.
course, our country is a poor country and if there are wild turkeys walking around in rural areas, it is more likely that they are going to eat. But there is much we can do around us to improve it, without much effort, even though we live in urban areas. I found an example of a nice way to see the natural world and think of others, without expecting anything in return.
