The public space belongs to everyone. It is our shared environment, property and assets not the government but of all citizens. The Sixth is a space not usually used mostly by the country's elite, but by ordinary people. Students who walk after the study, those who work and live here, simple people who do one-sixth of its Sunday, dads who want to take pictures of children perched on colorful jaguars, etc.
Indeed, one of the graffiti reads something like "More money for education and not for middle-class streets." Well, I do not disagree. Sure that we should invest much more on education than on the decoration of the city! But it is very easy to understand that the Municipality, by its nature, is only the administration of the city deals with its streets, waterways, cleaning, etc. Whether or not doing a good job could be a matter of debate, but the municipality has nothing to do with the educational system in Guatemala. That we have to claim the central government and its Ministry of Education. Customers therefore have nothing to do with the beautification. Or perhaps they believe they have given a penny to make up the Sixth?
More logical would be to go to deface the Ministry of Education and stating that I am not suggesting that you do . I suggest, if both are interested in the subject, forming committees, get involved in the political process through legitimate means and to lobby for better education in Guatemala. Or do you really think that defacing the Sixth now if you gave 'to think' to 'the powerful' ... who never set foot in the sixth?
Fortunately, those are things that chemicals, paint and rubbed soap can be good writing. But I call upon the organizers of these marches please make awareness among its youth participants to not give this kind of situation. Much has changed respect and loyalty in public, for example, is perceived as La Huelga de Dolores since no longer do such things.
These marches are necessary for democracy and are part of our history and culture, but should follow basic rules of civility. I do not think too much to ask. Changing

At the source of laundry Street Trees SI What was nice the October 20 was the festival that was made in honor of Don Poncho Bauer Paiz in the historic Street Trees. Nice day, got a lot of people, poets and well-known artists (Alejandro Arriaza, Gad Echeverria, The louts), bookstores put stands, was from Saul Mendez Gauchitos to providing food, in short, everything to everyone.
